Oftentimes a simple question can spark great discussion. And just as often we find ourselves too busy or preoccupied to think of a good question. So here’s a resource to help jump start the conversation with some basic but helpful questions.
Dinner Discussion Questions – Try to introduce one question each week at dinner and make it last all year!
Why we care about family discussions.
Making disciples among Christians happens first and foremost within the family. That means relationships matter. We can’t talk about the things of God with our kids if we haven’t built loving, trusting relationships with them. In our hectic world, that can sometimes be tough, but strong parent/child relationships matter to God.
This is what was prophesied about John the Baptist:
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.” (Luke 1:17)
That quote was lifted from Malachi 4:6, and without it we read that bad things happen! So parents, be sure to take time to build those relationships with your children. I hope these questions help!
