In response to an identified need within Redland Baptist several years ago, the Deacon body began the Employment Resource Ministry (ERM). Since the impact of the recent recession, this ministry service has become even more important for our church. Other members within Redland Baptist were enlisted to gather support for this very needy ministry. Because of their experience, they volunteer their services to help those in need that come to seek job help, and have found this ministry to be a blessing to them.
The primary goal of this Employment Resource Ministry is to assist Redland Baptist family members seeking employment or job enhancement/replacement. This ministry will provide one or more of the following services to those who seek the ERM:
A list of volunteers is available to assist with typing, editing, coaching, interviewing, and counseling:
This ERM website will provide the basis for posting job requests, job offers, and other employment information to service those Redlanders and others in the community who seek the support services of the Redland Baptist ERM volunteers. They are more than committed to continuing this ministry if there is a need. In the meantime, the volunteers are willing to provide interview review practice, answer job-related questions, review/critique resumes, and other job employment activities to those seeking employment or to better their current job. The church is deeply grateful to these ERM volunteers who have given so generously of their time and energy to help those in need.
In addition, visit the Employment Resources Ministry blog where you can review and post additional information about the following:
— Post job requests, job openings, and other employment information
— Fellow Redlanders with job openings can post their jobs, link to company websites, etc.
— Unemployed Redlanders can chat with those posting job openings
