All men are invited and encouraged to take a few hours for meaningful work on Saturday, October 13. It all starts at 8:00 AM in the ROC Foyer, where we will enjoy a light breakfast and short devotional. Then we will gear up for some important church workday tasks.
Task 1: Install insulation and plexiglass in the Grace in Store room
Experience needed: None, though some handyman skills are helpful
Why this matters: The Grace in Store ministry is renovating a physical space that will become a thrift store for the community. Your efforts will help provide a comfortable environment for people – including low-income residents – buy inexpensive items they need.
Task 2: Run network cables in the Adult Ed wing
Experience needed: None. Matt J. will be on-site to oversee the project
Why this matters: Our church is extending its WiFi access for personal and teaching purposes. Your efforts will allow members to utilize WiFI and also provide hardwired access for our media equipment. This means reliable connections for teaching videos and new TVs being installed in some rooms.
The church workday is for all ages and genders, but these are some special projects we’ve carved out as important for our men to accomplish. Please RSVP by contacting the church office to help us plan breakfast and projects.
Families of all ages are invited to join us for an activity-filled day at Winterbrook Farms in Thurmont, Maryland on Saturday, October 6. Register here.
The farm is known for its corn maze and has dozens of other fun activities, including zip line, hayrides, trike track, apple cannon, petting zoo, giant slide, and more!
Stay as long as you like and stop in to visit with fellow Redland families at our bonfire space from 3-7pm with free hot dogs and s’mores! Other concessions are available.
Look for a family discussion sheet to have a faith talk on your way there.
Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for kids, 4′ tall or less. Pay at the gate and get $1 off per ticket by mentioning you are with the Redland Baptist Church group.
