Worship Music

"Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD"  2 Chronicles 5:13

Worship With Us

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before our Lord our Maker

Our mission is to lead people in genuine worship that honors God and impacts lives. The passion of this ministry is to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ in all we do. The Worship and Music Ministry seeks to give people of all ages the opportunity to express their faith through music in a user-friendly environment. Whether you are a member of a choir or part of the worshipping congregation, we believe that the Holy Spirit uses music to touch the lives of believers and to bring those who may be seeking, into relationship with Him.

Our Worship Groups

Connect with others in our worship groups and grow together through music, fellowship, and faith.

Under the direction of Bill Archer, The Worship Team Praise Band leads monthly in Sunday worship with contemporary Christian music, as well as an occasionally bluegrass or folk song or traditional hymn. Practice takes place generally every other Thursday from 7:30–9:00pm. Membership is by audition.

The Sanctuary Choir leads several times monthly in Sunday worship. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm, held year round with a sabbatical in the month of July. There is no audition for choir membership, but you must be able to match pitch.

Under the direction of Marilyn Jordan, the Gospel Choir rehearses on the first and fifth Sunday of each month from 12:00-2:30pm and leads monthly on the second Sunday during worship service. Though the choir performs all types of gospel music, they are dedicated to preserving the choral art form of the Negro spiritual. There is no audition for membership in this choir but you must be able to match pitch and commit to regular attendance at rehearsals.

The RBC orchestra, directed by Bill Archer, ministers weekly during the worship service year round. In addition, the group performs stand-alone orchestra works, choral accompaniments, and seasonal musicals. The orchestra rehearses on Sundays from 5:30-7:00pm and includes youth Grades 6-12 from 7:00-8:30pm on the 4th Sunday. An audition is required for membership in the orchestra.

RBC has a 5+ octave set of Malmark handbells, and a 3+ octave set of choir chimes. Under the direction of Kenn Owens, the Celebration Bells are our adult handbell choir. The bell choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings (September – June) from 6:00-7:30pm. In addition to ringing for worship several times each year, the choir travels into the community to ring for special events and participates in the annual Handbell Musicians of America Area 3 adult bell festival.

Our Kids for Praise choir groups are comprised of children from Age 4 through Grade 5 and Grace Notes Handbells is for children in Grades 3 through 5. These groups meet weekly on Wednesdays (September – June) from 6:30-7:30pm. Each choir is divided into age ranges. These groups participate regularly in our worship services.

Under the direction of Judi and Kenn Owens our Waves of Grace Youth Choir and Handbells are great ways for teens Grades 6 - 12 to use their musical talents as their act of ministry to our church. Teens that want to ring or sing (or learn to) are encouraged to do so!  Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays (September - June) from 6:30-7:30 pm (vocal choir) and 7:30-8:30pm (handbell choir). Waves of Grace ministers periodically in worship services, and travel into the community to sing and ring for special events.
